Draft Settings in AutoCAD (Object Snap)

This setting Control the  running point snapping on the geometric object.snapping of point like endpoint, mid point, center, quadrant etc.

Note:- 3D Object_Snap  is not available in AutoCAD_LT.
With Object_Snap settings, which is also called Osnap, you may point out  snap_point at an exact point on  objects. When more  options selected at a time, the specified snap mode are applied to give points closer to center of  aperture_box.hold TABkey to move through given option.
List of available Option
Object_Snap [On/off]
With  object snaps active, objects snap selects under Objects Snap Mode are active while signifying point on object when the command is in action. [OSMODE system_variable].
Object Snap Tracking_[On/off]
With object snaps tracking, crosshair may tracks along alignment path based on current objects snap mode when signifying point in command.(AUTOSNAP system_variable).

Object_Snap Mode

Lists object snaps that you can turn on as running object snaps.
End_point
Snap to the closest end_point or corner of a geometric entity.

Mid_point
Snap to the mid_point of a geometric entity.

Center_
Snap to the center_ of an [arc], [circle], [ellipse], or [elliptical] arc.
Node_
Snap to a point objects, dimensions definition points, or dimensions text origins

Quadrant_
Snap to quadrant points of an arcs, circles, ellipses, or elliptical arcs

Intersection_
Snap to the intersections of geometric entity.
Extend intersection as shown available only as override during the command.

Extension_
Cause a temporary extensions lines or arcs to display when you move the crosshair over  end_point of object, so you may signify point on the extensions.
Note:- When you are working in perspective views, you can not track along the extension lines of an arcs or elliptical arcs.
Insertion_
Snap to the insertion points of object such as an attributes, a blocks, or texts.
Perpendicular_
Snap to a points perpendicular to the specific geometric entity.

Nearest_
Snap to  nearest points on an entity such as an arcs, circles, ellipses, elliptical arcs, lines, points, polylines, rays, splines, or xlines.
Apparent_Intersection
Snap to  visual intersections of two object that don't intersects in 3D but appears to intersects in the current views.
Note:- Result can vary if both the Intersections and Apparent Intersections of running objects snap are turned_on.
Parallel_
Constraints a new line segments, polyline segments, rays or xlines to be parallels to an existing linear objects that you identify by moving your  crosshair.
Note:- Turn_off [ORTHO] modes before using the parallel Object_Snap. Object_Snap tracking and [polar snap] are turned off during  parallel Object_Snap operations. You must specify the first_point of a linear objects before using the parallel Object_Snap.
Select _All
Turn_on all active Object_Snap mode.
Clear_All
Turn_off all active Object_Snap mode.
